| 1. |
Make sure you write
down the exact time and place when the interview is supposed
to take place. Know how long it will take you to get to
the interview so you can plan your time. Also, make sure
you know how to get there. |
| |
|
| 2. |
Ensure that you know the name
of the person that you are interviewing with. Upon your
arrival at the interview, it will be very awkward if the
receptionist has to call every HR manager in order to
figure out who you are supposed to meet with. This will
give them a bad first impression of you.
As a side note, be polite to everyone you encounter in
the company during your interview, especially the receptionist.
Depending on the company, you never know who the HR manager
will ask for an opinion. |
| |
|
| 3. |
Do some research on the company.
Try and look through the company's year-end reports, newsletters
and web page. Know what the company does so that you can
prepare an answer for the inevitable interview question;
how can you contribute to our company? |
| |
|
| 4. |
Write out a list of possible
interview questions and find answers for them.
Some questions could be:
Tell me about yourself?
Why are you interested in this position?
What are your strengths and weaknesses?
What is your desired salary?
What can you contribute to this company?
Why have you decided to work in this field? |
| |
|
| 5. |
Present your weaknesses in
a positive manner. |
| |
|
| 6. |
Manage your stress. |
| |
|
| 7. |
Rest well for the interview.
