1. Dress for success. Remember to take your time and do not dress in a rush.
   
2. During the interview, remember to smile.
   
3. Shake hands with the interviewer.
   
4. Remember to pay attention and listen to what the interviewer has to say.
   
5. Ask pertinent questions. Some questions could be:
What is my work scope?
Why is this position open? Is the department expanding or are you searching for a replacement?
What are the advancement opportunities?
What are the working hours for this position? Etc.

Take some time to think before answering each question so you can organise your thoughts and not have to self-edit as you answer the question.

   
7. Be enthusiastic about the position you are applying for.

Be reasonably energetic when you answer the interviewer's questions. Also, be articulate when answering the questions.

   
9. At the end of the interview, ask closing questions like:
Do you have any other questions about my background that I could answer? · I am very interested in this position. This is a great opportunity for me. When will my next interview be?
   
10. Get the interviewer's business card.
