  Keys to a Successful Interview

•  Preparation
•  Making an Impression
•  Things to Avoid

  Leaving an Impression

1. Send a simple "Thank You" letter to the interviewer. Make sure you address the envelope correctly taking the interviewer's name and address off of his/her business card. This letter is to ensure that the interviewer remembers you and it shows initiative on your part.

2.

If the interviewer does not contact you within two weeks after the interview date, it is advisable to check the status of your application. Call the interviewer and subtly ask for an update.

3. Be prepared to negotiate your salary if you are offered the position.
